This unit introduces the historical and current context of biodynamic agriculture, as well as the principles that inform biodynamic agriculture.

This includes core differences among different farming systems, some exploration of the different aspects of the farm organism and some discussion of food systems and food quality. The unit requires no previous knowledge of biodynamic agriculture, is open to all students who are interested and requires no immediate access to land.
